The Real Talk NYC Real Estate Podcast: Episode 62
Welcome to the Real Talk NYC Real Estate Podcast, where experienced, expert NYC real estate brokers John Gasdaska and Jonathan Conlon break down what’s happening in the market, what you need to know whether you’re a buyer, seller, or agent, and their personal insights into the future of the market, with a little bit of fun along the way.
In this episode, John and Jonathan review the Manhattan real estate market reports for First Quarter and March 2022, released by Corcoran. The guys also shed light on what the dropping days on market and inventory numbers could signify for upcoming transactions.
The real estate experts of the Gasdaska Conlon Team dissect the statistics for First Quarter and March 2022 and what it all means for buyers or sellers in the market this spring.
As 2022 started, the Manhattan market showed no signs of slowing down.

This was the second best March on record behind 2007 (when just over
1,700 contracts were signed), solidifying First Quarter 2022 as the best first quarter for sales in history.
Listed inventory continued to decline due to robust sales in First Quarter 2022.
By the end of March, 6,140 units were actively listed for sale in Manhattan, down 19% annually. Excluding 2020, March active listings were last lower in 2017.
After the episode, if you have lingering questions about First Quarter and March 2022 or the future of the Manhattan real estate market, give us a call! We’d be thrilled to provide guidance to you and your household in this exciting time.
